Did you know that St. Francis of Assisi staged the very first Nativity scene in 1223? After visiting the actual birthplace of Jesus in Bethlehem, he returned home to Greccio, Italy and requested permission from Pope Honorius III to recreate the scene so that more could understand how it all began.
Saint Francis Healthcare System recreates the scene of Jesus’ birth with its annual outdoor Live Nativity. Come and experience the true reason for the season!
